“Off the Wall” Pottery Wall Art Summer Camp for Kids
Jul 31 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

- Ages 7 to 16 – 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM (both days)

- Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31 (two days)

- We are fortunate to live along the Indian River Lagoon, one of our country’s most unique estuaries. Starting with a ball of fresh clay, participants will create their own pottery wall art using hand-building pottery techniques such as slab, texturing and sculpture. We will create a wall pocket one day and a Wild Kids self portrait the next day. Pottery will be glazed with lab-certified lead-free, non-toxic glazes by our staff after the pieces have been dried and then bisque fired.*

- $60 (includes both days of instruction, clay, glaze, 2 kiln firings, tools and insurance) Students may choose a dip glaze color for the instructor to glaze for them or they may register for an additional glaze session.

- Optional: $10 one-hour work on your own parent-supervised glaze session on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon during regular studio hours prior to August 18th. By appointment only. (Your child may choose to glaze one or both pieces of pottery. Depending on how quickly or slowly your child works, it may take two hours to glaze both pieces.)

- Students will pick up their glazed and fired pottery 4 to 5 weeks after class. To register, call 321-292-0762 or register and pay online at http://mkt.com/outlaw-pottery/off-the-wall-pottery-summer-camp-for-kids

- Pre-payment is required to reserve your child’s place in the summer camp session. All fees are non-refundable.

Wheel-throwing Pottery Class for Adults at Outlaw Pottery in Cocoa
Jul 31 @ 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

10 WEEK BEGINNING WHEEL-THROWING POTTERY CLASS FOR ADULTS

We will teach students how to transform balls of clay into bowls, cups and mugs on the pottery wheel.  Students will learn wedging, centering, pulling, trimming and glazing during this session. This class is also good for those who have tried pottery before but need a refresher course. You get the most hands-on attention with Outlaw Pottery! Make no bones about it, throwing pots is hard.  But we make it fun, and our program is designed to give you personal attention because our classes are small and cozy.

Our program is unique because we let you begin when your want to begin.  Although we often offer programs with specific start and end dates for people who like deadlines, we are also flexible enough that we let you determine your own start date if you prefer.  Please note that the 10 week session is 10 calendar weeks.  You may make up a missed class on another day of the week, but you will need to complete your 10 week session with 10 calendar weeks.

Pre-payment in full is required to register.  Tuition for 10 weeks is $200, plus materials.  That’s equivalent to only $20 per week!  All fees are non-refundable.

Our current class schedule is as follows:

• Tuesdays:       5:30 – 7:30 PM
• Wednesdays:  6:00 – 8:00 PM
• Thursdays:      1:30 – 3:30 PM
