The festival of lights is upon us, Brevard, and with it a parade unlike any other you’ve seen so far this holiday season. Led by a stretch Hummer, one hundred large Menorah-topped vehicles will depart from the Chabad Jewish Community Center in Satellite Beach at 6 p.m on Thurs., Dec. 22. They will make their way through Indian Harbour Beach and Indialantic, over the Melbourne Causeway and along 192 until they reach Melbourne Square Mall.
There, the parade ends and the Chanukah festivities begin. Attendees will be treated to a Grand Menorah Lighting Celebration and Fire Show, with music by composer Chaim Fogelman. Performing artist Aleksey Gavrilov-Zeber—promoted as Epcot’s premier circus artist and mime—is the man behind the fire show, so expect to be wowed. Refreshments—including BBQ and delicious latkes (potato pancakes)—will be provided.
