If you happen to watch the Food Network, then perhaps you’ve seen the recent promotions for Share Our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry effort. This national fundraising campaign enlists the support of restaurants (and the folks who eat at them) to help end childhood hunger in America.
It’s simple. When you eat at a participating restaurant, a portion of the proceeds from your meal will be donated to No Kid Hungry. The event runs from Sept. 16-22 at participating restaurants, a number of which can be found in Brevard County.
Brevard Happening found that the following Brevard County restaurants are participating in the 2012 Dine Out for No Kid Hungry effort:
- Arby’s (various locations)
- Buffalo Wild Wings (West Melbourne)
- CrossFire Deli and Grill (Melbourne)
- Denny’s (various locations)
- Papa John’s (various locations)
This list will be updated as we learn of more participants. Restaurant owners who would like to participate may get more information at the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry Website. It appears that all restaurants are eligible to participate, whether independent or multi-unit, and that there is still time to register.
