Brevard takes part in National Mosquito Control Awareness Week
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Looking for the latest buzzword on mosquitoes? Brevard County’s Mosquito Control Department wants to help county residents learn how to protect themselves, their pets and property against this pesky insect during National Mosquito Control Awareness Week, June 24-30.
In recognition of the week designated by the American Mosquito Control Association, Brevard Mosquito Control Department staff will be on site at six locations throughout the county to help educate the public about mosquitoes and how to control and prevent the insect’s transmitted diseases from affecting you, your family, pets and livestock.
Between the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents are invited to stop by any of these locations to speak with staff members about what can be done collectively to assist in your protection.
