Happening Wed. July 4, 2012: Parades and Picnics
America Liberty Bell Memorial Museum, Melbourne
This race kicks off the Running Zone’s Race Series. Funds raised go to Honor America and Space Coast Therapy Dogs.
$31 race fee. Spectators free.
26th Annual Independence Day Family Picnic
McLarty Park, Rockledge
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Face painting, bounce houses, games and contests, music and line dancing are just some of the activities happening at this family event.
Free parking and free admission.
Downtown Melbourne
Begins at 10 a.m.
Traditional 4th of July Parade along Strawbridge and New Haven through historic Downtown Melbourne.
Free and open to the public.

Riverfront Park, Cocoa Village
One of the most popular Brevard County fireworks displays accompanied by musical entertainment by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra.
Free and open to the public.
Melbourne 4th of July Celebration
Claude Edge Front Street Park, Melbourne
9 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Large fireworks display over the Melbourne causeway bridge and Indian River Lagoon. Free and open to the public.

7 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Fireworks at 9:15)
Food, live music, children’s activities and a fabulous Titusville fireworks show. Vendors are needed.

Smoke on the Water: Fireworks Over the Indian River
Downtown Cocoa Village (Delannoy Ave.)
9 p.m. – 10 p.m.
A big fireworks show, family activities and live music. Preceded by Fireworks Over the Ocean in Cocoa Beach on July 2 and Fireworks Over the Harbor in Port Canaveral on July 3–an epic trilogy of fireworks!
Free and open to the public.
Splashes and Sparks Independence Day Celebration
BCC Palm Bay Campus Fairgrounds”
5 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.)
Featuring live music from Open Fire (voted Brevard’s Best Band 2010), Kids’ Patriotic Bike Parade, food vendors and more!
Free and open to the public.
Viera’s 18th Annual Great American Celebration
Space Coast Stadium, Viera
Gates open at 5 p.m. Baseball game starts at 6:35 p.m.
Ticket includes all-you-can-eat BBQ dinner, souvenir item, fabulous fireworks and a night of Manatees baseball.
Tickets: $15
