During the holiday season last month, the friends and residents of Harbortown Marina were able to raise a total of $2,570 in gifts and donations through their Angel Tree to support a brighter Christmas for the children at Country Acres Children’s Home in Titusville, FL. In the interest of strengthening the network of support for Brevard’s non-profit organizations, it is Harbortown’s hope that more small businesses and organizations will be inspired to reach out and rally their communities to support a cause of their choice.
2013 was Harbortown Marina’s second year promoting their Angel Tree, with this year’s contribution topping last year’s by over $600. Each year, the owners of Harbortown have matched the total community donations, boosting the total contribution to the children at Country Acres.
“We were delighted at the enthusiasm and generosity from our Harbortown Family and Friends supporting Country Acres Christmas Angels Wish; everyone really rallied to the cause,” says Tina Evans, Account/Marketing Manager at Harbortown Marina. “It’s so important to take the time to give back, and we feel like we made a real difference for these children this Christmas and prior. Thank you to everyone for your support.”
