There’s an awesome worldwide event happening this month that involves more than 6,000 babies being changed in cloth diapers simultaneously at more than 260 sites in over 15 countries around the globe… all in the name of living green and (and breaking the Guinness World Record that was set last year.)
It’s The Great Cloth Diaper Change and it’s taking place right here in Brevard County at Wickham Park in Melbourne, on Sat. April 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The combined 262 (and counting!) sites are already on their way to break last year’s Guinness World Record of 5,026 cloth diapers changed simultaneously at 127 locations in five countries. Hosted by Julie, the Cloth Diaper Geek, a former cloth diaper retailer and current cloth diaper advocate, this year’s Brevard County Great Cloth Diaper Change will feature a cloth diaper and baby-wearing swap-meet, a raffle with prizes, and local vendors selling their wares.
This event is a great way to connect with the Brevard cloth diapering and natural parenting community. Of course, you don’t have to be a cloth diapering family to attend, and participation in the 12:30 p.m. mass diaper change is not required. Come out to learn, join in the fun, meet local families and enjoy Wickham Park. You can RSVP here if you’d like, but it’s not required.
